For sale this Ultra Rare 70's Dynacord EC-280 Analog Space Echo
ANALOG Delay / Echo - 4 modes from single slap-back, to multi tap craziness.
ANALOG Reverb - it's true! random taps on the analog delay line do an emulation of reverb that is totally cool and unique to this box.
Chorus - It's labeled "chorus" but it's way more random than the usual boring triangle wave modulated chorus. Just a small amount adds a slightly warped effect, especially on louder notes.
Gain boost: the input provides quite a lot of gain which I think is really sweet for driving amps or pedals downstream.
Separate output for 100% WET signal to be sent to a different amp.
First Analog Solid State Echo Unit -
This is the amazing Electronic Echo Box EC-280 from the German company Dynacord, made around 1977
The item uses eight analog Philips TDA 1022 bucket
brigade devices and is probably the first solid state echo/reverb unit.
Sounds incredible quirky lo-fi goodness, weird modulations and self oscillations !
You can choose between 4 Echo and 4 Reverb knobs, and random "Chorus" modulation.
The Echo Box is in very clean condition, works 100%.
One knob cap is missing but the pot is not broken or bent and functions perfectly. The 'small' power light does not.
All pots and switches are working very well.
